Self-Timer Reflections

Create one vertical 3:4 image: a designed photo board, not a real place. Four black-and-white prints of the woman in the attached photo sit in a two by two grid on a pale grey linen board, each held by brass pins at its top corners: four attempts at one phone self-timer picture, taken sitting on a low wooden stool against a plain wall. She appears exactly four times, all the same woman, no face overlapping another. Her real face is carried into every print, same eye shape and spacing, nose, lips, jaw, cheeks, age, skin tone and marks. Hair worn loose in soft waves with a side part.

Top left, try one: still settling, chin dipped, both hands behind her head gathering her hair, eyes down at her lap, not the lens. Top right, try two: eyes shut, head tilted back a little, laughing at herself for missing it, hands resting on her knees. Bottom left, try three: leaning forward toward the camera to see whether the timer is still counting, head in three-quarter view, eyes narrowed at the phone, which is the lens, a doubtful half smile. Bottom right, try four, the keeper: she sits upright, one hand resting on her knee, the other out of frame, chin slightly raised, eyes calm and straight into the lens, a soft closed-lip smile. This fourth print is larger and sharper than the other three, the hero of the board.

She wears a fitted ribbed knit top with high-waist jeans and small hoop earrings. In all four prints one soft window light from the right lights her face, neck and arms as one, with a faint shadow of her body on the wall behind. The board itself is evenly lit from above with gentle paper shadows under each print. The text to show is FOUR TRIES (spelled exactly as written here, every letter present once and in order), typed small below the grid in plain typewriter letters, clear of every face. No other text, logo or watermark.
