Sketchbook Reverie in Ink

An intimate depiction of a hand holding a hardback book open to a blank page featuring a loose ink sketch of a man. The warm lamplight accentuates the scene, inviting a moment of quiet reflection and creativity.

prompt

Create one vertical 9:16 image: a photograph of a hardback book held open at its first blank page by someone's hand at the bottom edge of the frame, where a brush-and-ink sketch of the man in the attached photo has been drawn in black ink with one touch of red.

The sketch is loose and quick but the face is exactly his: the ink captures the shape and spacing of his eyes, the brow line, the nose, the lips, the jaw and his hair as in the attached photo, so he is instantly recognisable, never a generic figure. It shows him full length and small on the page, walking with a bag strap over one shoulder, one hand in his pocket, head turned to look out at the viewer, a slight smile; a single stroke of red ink marks his shirt. The rest of the cream page is bare with a faint paper texture.

The real book: a dark cloth cover, a ribbon marker lying across the facing page, and the thumb of the hand holding the page pressed flat at the lower corner, with a wooden desk soft beneath.

Warm lamplight from the upper right falls across the open book, with the spine's shadow in the gutter. No text, logo or watermark anywhere; the page carries only the sketch.

About this look

The photograph captures a serene moment infused with warmth. A hand gently holds open a dark-cloth-covered book, revealing a carefully drawn ink sketch of a man, every detail crafted to reflect his likeness. The sketch's relaxed style, complemented by a striking touch of red on the shirt, stands out against the cream-colored page, enhanced by the subtle texture of the paper. Warm lamplight filters in from the upper right, casting soft shadows that add a comforting ambiance to the composition, while the wooden desk underneath contributes a natural element.

How to use this prompt

To create a visually appealing image, provide a high-quality photograph of the man to be sketched, ensuring his features are clear for accurate representation. The image should be shot in vertical format to fit the 9:16 aspect ratio. Aim for a warm light source to give a cozy feel, and if necessary, adjust shadows to ensure the sketch remains the focal point and does not blend into the background.
